Quino and Toriyama were the two comic book artists that influenced my art in general. Even with me growing tired of Dragon Ball with time, this is truly heartbreaking news.

One of my biggest regrets when it comes to a celebrity I admire dying is not having the chance to meet them let alone write fanmail to them. Akira Toriyama was one of the first staples of my Childhood and Dragon Ball along with Sailor Moon were what got me into Anime. One of my personal goals years back was to take the next plane to Japan to meet the man himself, but alas. Akira was one of a kind, his brand of humour and serious storytelling is the stuff of legends.
Wherever he is, I hope King Yemma sent him to a better place or I will die myself just so I could have a few words with him. His Yemma-Lock is no match for this grieving Otaku.

Toriyama was an inspiration for me when I was a kid, I owe part of my progress to him.
Rest in peace.
