@DocDiegO it was probably gained through the nomination team not watching the movies. This is proven by how they treated the Lego Movie and others. They assume that because it’s Disney it’s good, ever since Beauty and the Beast winning the Oscar and the introduction of best animated feature after that. Disney always wins unless it was Shrek in 2001 (who’s competition was Monsters Inc or Jimmy Neutron) or Spiderverse in 2019. Of course they’re are outliers I didn’t mention but those two out of the many Disney and Pixar films that win are clear examples.
I haven’t seen Enchanto but heard it was good. While Enchanto was probably the crowd pleasing Disney pick, Mitchell’s will be the Cult Classic Snub that would be remembered as fondly as Enchanto seeing how it was animated in a way no other film in recent memory outside of Spiderverse has been, with a good story and representation not forced into the movie.

It’s bullshit they win every year. But expected. But hey, who cares about the Oscar’s anyway. No one, that’s who.

Believe me, i wanted The Mitchells vs. The Machines and Flee to win. and, yeah it's bullshit, the other tree were Disney and i don't know how how the fuck Raya obtained the nomination.
