On the surface, it seems like a cliched action movie trying to cash in on the Director Of Robocop's name as well as Aliens. However anyone who's watched Starship Troopers as long as I have, would tell you that the whole movie is what's known as Futuristic Propaganda. Basically every propaganda joke you can think of used by Allies and Axis alike put into one movie. Even the stuff that seems like the "Real bug fights" could easily be considered propaganda as well.

But when we were all kids watching this, we didn't give a crap that the characters were Nazis in everything but name. They had kick ass one-liners, a great variety of weapons and unique bugs to fight, from Warrior Arachnids, to Tankers, to the Brain Bug. Not to mention a killer cast comprised of Casper Van Dien, Denise Richards, Jake Busey, Michael Ironside and Neil Patrick Harris.

So to answer your question. I get you sir. I only have one more thing to say.

"This is for all you new people. I only have one rule. Everyone fights. No one quits. If you don't do your job, I'll shoot you. Do you get me!?"

Well, you got it. It's a very fun satire, only that this movie trust very much on the viewer.

@DocDiegO Pretty much. Not only that, but seeing it so blatant here, makes me reflect on Paul's previous works. Robocop especially. Are we really seeing Alex Murphy's life unfold, or is it a biopic with news segments to reflect on the times?
